Job Description
a.Scope
The content team shall be responsible for developing unique content for social media and web domain, web properties, newsletter and IEC material, including technical writing. The team will also edit and revise existing content based on departments requirement. The content writing shall be done in Hindi and English Language. The team shall be responsible for contributing to strategic public relations, public affairs, social media and internal and external communications in support of department and other stakeholders. The team resources shall be accomplished writers, with experience working in a PR, public affairs or marketing firm. The team must have exceptional accurate writing and editing talents. The team should also have formal communications training, such as a degree in professional or technical writing, communications, journalism, English or related field. The department envisages a highly versatile writing team who can move seamlessly from writing effective news releases and documents to nuanced op-eds on complicated public policy issues. Experience in publication design a plus. The team shall be responsible for writing and editing internal communications, public relations, public affairs and communications materials for a wide range of communication channels, including Web and print materials, e-mail marketing, press releases and social media.
b.Key Functional Areas of Responsibility
-Writing
Serve as writer and copy editor for department, overseeing all writing services. Research, write, repurpose or edit copy for a wide variety of communications pieces, including news releases, op-eds, contributed articles, fact sheets, position papers, newsletters, brochures, collateral, advertising, website copy, public relations, public affairs and marketing plans, presentations, advertorials, correspondence and reports.
-Quality Control & Editing
-Oversee quality review of all department and media ready materials.
-Social Media
-Assist with providing multimedia content for department and client social media activities, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn etc.
-Writing Coach & Mentoring
-Mentor all staff on writing improvement
-Time Management
-Track billable time precisely and consistently on a daily basis.
-Strategic Department, Development & Agency Planning
-Participate in strategic writing planning for departments, proactively identifying writing assignments that benefit departments and help them
achieve their goals as well as support the business development process with effective proposal development.
-Any additional activity that may be found suitable and assigned to the team .
c.Professional Competencies
-BA/BS degree in journalism, communications, public relations or related field
-Minimum of seven years of professional writing experience with a news organization, PR/PA or marketing firm, or a combination of these
-Exceptional and flexible writer with incredible attention to detail
-Outstanding copy editing and content editing experience
-Aportfolio containingat least 10 publishedpiecesforwhichthe resource were paid
-Exceptional verbal and interpersonal communications skills
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point,
-Outlook and Publisher is a must; experience with Adobe Creative Suite software is a plus
-Experience being extremely organized and detail-oriented with strong project and time management skills
-Highly collaborative leadership skills, and a demonstrated ability to work well within a dynamic organization and with diverse colleagues
