Job Description
- Position: Data Quality Testing Engineer or Data EngineerRole Summary: Manage projects focused on Data Quality Management and Testing for banking clients, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and testing velocityKey Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project / test outcomes
- Measure and track each activity and highlight in case of misalignment or project off-trackTechnical Skills:RDBMS Proficiency: Expertise in relational database management systems (eg, SQL Server, Oracle)
- Ability to write complex SQL queries and handle data migrations use cases
- Azure DevOps or Project Management tools: Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, project tracking, and version control (Git)
- Knowledge of working in sprints, user stories, and release cycles
- Data Quality Tools: Familiarity with data quality and governance tools such as Informatica, Talend, or similar platforms
- Understanding of data profiling, cleansing, and validation techniques
- Migration testing techniques and best practices
- ETL Processes: Knowledge of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, data modelling and ensuring clean data pipelines for analytical reporting
- Banking IT Systems (preferred): Exposure to core banking systems, payment gateways, or loan origination software
- Data Governance: Understanding of data governance frameworks, metadata management, and master data management (MDM)
- Automation Testing: Experience with automation tools (eg, Selenium, Apache JMeter) for performance testing, API testing, and script driven data validation
- Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in data quality management and testing roles, preferably within banking or financial institutions
- Ability to design testing plan and handling multiple stakeholders within the project timeline
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to speak about problems
