Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

Review and analyze patient medical records for accurate code assignment

Ensure adherence to coding guidelines and regulatory requirements

Learn to use medical coding software

Apply understanding of anatomy and physiology to interpret clinical documentation and identify applicable medical codes

Stay updated on industry changes and attend relevant training sessions

Ensure confidentiality and security of all patient information

Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or masters degree, from a medical science backdrop or anything relevant Life Science or Bioscience, Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing or Medicine Allied Health

Good knowledge in medical terminology basics

Good knowledge in Anatomy physiology basics

Well-versed with ICD-10 guidelines and their implementation

Proficient in reviewing medical records and determining the accuracy and completeness of the document

Preferred Qualifications:

AAPC/AHIMA Certification

Risk Adjustment coding experience
