Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency):

We are looking for a skilled Mid-Level Liferay Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Liferay-based portal applications. You will work closely with business analysts, architects, and other developers to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and customize Liferay Portal applications and components (portlets, themes, hooks, etc.).
• Implement new features and enhancements based on business requirements.
• Integrate Liferay with backend systems using REST APIs, SOAP, and other middleware.
• Develop and maintain custom workflows using Liferay Workflow and Kaleo.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize portal performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, UX/UI, and business stakeholders.
• Write technical documentation and participate in code reviews.

Primary Skills:

• 6 to 8 years of professional experience working with Liferay Portal (version 6.x, 7.x preferred).
• Strong Java development skills, including J2EE, Servlets, JSP, and Spring Framework.
• Experience with Liferay portlet development using MVC frameworks like MVC, MVCPortlet, or Vaadin.
• Proficient in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React is a plus.
• Knowledge of database design and SQL (MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Liferay Service Builder and OSGi module development.
• Familiarity with portal security, SSO integration, and LDAP. Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
