Job Description

Job Summary:

  • CGI is seeking a highly skilled Java Full Stack Developer Lead with strong experience in Angular and backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs
  • The ideal candidate will lead a team of developers, drive end-to-end solution design, ensure best coding practices, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance applications

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of full-stack web applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Oversee and guide the team on code reviews, performance optimization, and best development practices
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and database components
  • Ensure application scalability, security, and maintainability throughout the development lifecycle
  • Manage version control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments using tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure smooth application support and maintenance
  • Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and agile ceremonies as a technical lead

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Technical Skills Required:Frontend: Angular HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap, RxJS, NgRxBackend: Java 8/11/17, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA RESTful APIs,
  • Microservices architecture#LI-SP40Database: Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL SQL query optimization and performance tuningDevOps & Tools: Git, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, JIRA Docker, Kubernetes (preferred) Cloud platforms AWS / Azure / GCP (any one preferred)Testing: JUnit, Mockito, Karma/Jasmine (for Angular)Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of hands-on development experience with at least 3+ years in a lead role
  • Proven experience in delivering enterprise-scale, cloud-ready full-stack applications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication and leadership abilities
