GCP Cloud Architect SaaS Platforms (Full Ownership Role)

Role Summary

The GCP Cloud Architect owns the end-to-end cloud architecture, reliability, and performance of large-scale, latency-sensitive SaaS platforms on Google Cloud Platform. This role is accountable for design decisions, platform stability, scalability, and cost efficiency in environments handling high data volumes and mission-critical workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Own cloud architecture for large, distributed SaaS platforms on GCP
• Design and govern low-latency, high-throughput architectures
• Own HA, DR, backup, and multi-region strategies
• Ensure cloud designs meet strict performance, availability, and security SLAs
• Act as final authority for cloud architecture standards and patterns

Core Experience & Expertise

• 812+ years in infrastructure / cloud architecture roles
• 5+ years owning production GCP environments at scale
• Deep expertise in:
• GCP VPC design, routing, IAM, Load Balancing
• GKE and compute performance tuning
• Multi-region, low-latency architectures
• Proven experience handling large data sets and latency-sensitive applications

Preferred

• SaaS platforms in regulated or healthcare environments (EHR, RIS, PACS)
• GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification
