GCP DevOps Engineer @ TEKsystems

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced GCP DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in cloud infrastructure & automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building, managing, and optimizing large-scale, secure, and highly available cloud environments on Google Cloud Platform.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4-9 Years of hands-on GCP engineering or cloud platform experience.
• Strong experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Expertise in networking fundamentals: VPC, DNS, routing, firewalls, LB, VPN,interconnect.
• Experience with containers & orchestration (GKE, Docker).
• Proficiency in BigQuery, GCS, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc.
• Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and observability frameworks.
• Scripting skills (Python, Shell).
• Strong understanding of cloud security and IAM governance.
• Experience in production support and SRE concepts.

Good to Have

• Experience with Starburst/Trino integration on GCP.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud (on-prem Hadoop GCP).
• Familiarity with policy-as-code (OPA, Config Validator, Terraform Sentinel).
• Experience with Cloud Composer (Airflow).

• Ability to work with cross-functional engineering, product, and security teams.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ownership mindset and ability to drive solutions end-to-end.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
