Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

Assign accurate medical codes to patient records using CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and other relevant coding systems.
Review and analyze medical documentation to determine the most appropriate code assignment.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and guidelines for coding standards.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies or questions related to coding.

Job Requirements :

Certified as a CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or equivalent certification.
Minimum 2-7 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in general surgery or SDS (Surgical Discipline Specialty).
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology principles.
Proficiency in CCS (Clinical Coding Standards), COC (Certificate of Completion), CIC (Certified Inpatient Coder) certifications.
