Job Description
***We are looking for Senior Project Manager who can join us immediately at our Bangalore Office***
Role & responsibilities :
- We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager with 14+ years of proven expertise in IT services, specifically in Application Management Services (AMS), Development, or Testing engagements. The ideal candidate will bring strong delivery management skills, hands-on expertise in at least one core technology, and the ability to manage multi-account engagements and large teams successfully (40+ members).
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex Cloud / SAP / Digital Transformation programs including greenfield implementations, migrations, rollouts, and modernization initiatives.
- Manage multi-country/multi-vendor programs with full accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk.
- Drive SAP implementations (S/4HANA, ECC upgrades, SAP BTP, SAP integrations) and/or Cloud transformation initiatives (AWS/Azure/GCP migration, cloud-native modernization, DevOps transformation).
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and Solution Architects to review HLD/LLD, integration patterns, data migration strategies, and security architecture.
- Oversee cloud migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor), infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD setup, automation, and environment management.
- Ensure strong governance across program steering committees, executive reviews, compliance audits, and vendor management forums.
- Manage large cross-functional teams (40+ members) including SAP functional consultants, technical developers (ABAP/Fiori), cloud engineers, DevOps teams, data migration teams, QA, and business analysts.
- Drive Agile/SAFe delivery for digital programs while managing dependencies across hybrid (Agile + Waterfall) landscapes.
- Proactively manage risks related to integrations, data migration, cutover planning, performance tuning, and go-live stabilization.
- Lead business transformation initiatives including process harmonization, change management, and user adoption strategies.
- Handle contractual commitments, SLAs, KPIs, cost optimization, and financial tracking (CapEx/OpEx management).
- Manage hypercare support and transition to AMS post-go-live.
- Lead and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously across AMS, development, and/or testing portfolios.
- Ensure seamless delivery across incident, problem, change, request, and enhancement management for AMS projects.
- Oversee project governance, including WSR/MSR/QBR reporting, dashboards, audits, and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and efficiency initiatives within delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for CXO-level stakeholders, ensuring client satisfaction and escalation handling.
- Provide hands-on guidance in one core technology domain (ERP, SAP, Oracle, Java/.NET, Cloud, or Testing).
- Mentor, coach, and grow project managers, leads, and junior team members.
- Required Skills & Experience
- 14+ years of IT project/program management experience with exposure to AMS and development/testing delivery.
- Proven expertise in multi-project/multi-account management.
- Strong people leadership: ability to manage and motivate 40+ member teams.
- Hands-on exposure in at least one technology stack (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Cloud, Java/.NET, Testing automation tools).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
- Ability to handle contractual obligations, governance, audits, and escalations.
- Certifications such as PMP, CSM, ITIL, SAFe (preferred).
- Preferred Attributes
- Strong background in multi-client IT services delivery.
- Experience managing global delivery models (onsite-offshore).
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution.
- Exposure to tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow for performance tracking.
