Job Description:
We are looking for experienced EM Inpatient Medical Coders to join our growing medical coding team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Evaluation Management (EM) coding for inpatient services , with a solid understanding of clinical documentation, coding guidelines, and compliance standards. Candidates must hold a valid certification from AAPC or AHIMA and should be capable of ensuring accurate and compliant coding practices.

Responsibilities:Review and analyze inpatient medical records and physician documentation .
Assign accurate EM codes for inpatient encounters based on clinical documentation.
Ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines .
Follow payer-specific rules and regulatory coding standards .
Maintain high levels of coding accuracy and productivity .
Identify documentation gaps and work with internal teams for clarification.
Perform coding audits and quality checks when required.
Skills:Experience in IP DRG coding .
Familiarity with coding edits and compliance standards .
Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to work independently and meet productivity targets.
Qualifications:Strong knowledge of EM coding guidelines and inpatient documentation .
Good understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology .
Experience with EHR systems and coding tools .
Education Requirements :Certification Mandatory: CPC, CCS, CIC, or equivalent (AAPC / AHIMA).
Experience Requirements :Experience: 2-5 years in Inpatient EM coding .
