Database Administrator Lead @ Idexcel

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain large-scale databases on AWS using Amazon RDS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server.
• Lead database migration projects from on-premise to cloud-based infrastructure using shell scripting languages like Bash or Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design scalable database architectures that meet those needs.
• Develop automated testing frameworks for database migrations and deployments using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.

Job Requirements :

• 7-16 years of experience in database administration with expertise in PostgreSQL administration.
• Strong understanding of AWS services such as S3, RDS, Lambda functions etc., including data modeling and schema design.
• Proficiency in developing complex queries using various programming languages (e.g., Python).
• Experience with database development best practices including normalization techniques.
