Job Description
Your Role- Use design thinking and a consultative approach to define innovative data solutions for business problems. Act as a business analyst/data business analyst on data projects. Participate in requirements gathering, functional specification definition, and scope management. Document detailed business requirements and develop solution designs.Support and coordinate system implementations through the full project lifecycle (initiation to handover).
- Elicit requirements using interviews, workshops, surveys, and workflow analysis. Understand and build BI dashboards and gather insights to improve business decision making. Work closely with solution architects to define target solutions. engage in activities across the data lifecycle, including Building and managing business data lakes and ingesting data streams. AI transformation support through use case creation and other initiatives.
- Supporting development of machine learning and predictive models. Designing and visualizing data for self-service BI. Contribute to delivery, innovation, pre-sales, and center of excellence initiatives. Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and enterprise data governance principles to ensure compliance in analytics and reporting.
- Experience in defining KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to measure the business impact of data initiatives and track ROI of analytics projects. Ability to work with Product, IT, Data Engineering, and Business teams to ensure alignment between technical and business priorities. Exposure to emerging technologies such as Generative AI, NLP, or IoT analytics and ability to recommend innovative solutions for business challenges. Willingness to mentor junior analysts or team members and contribute to building a knowledge-sharing culture within the data practice
- Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst or BA with strong data background (5 to 10+ years of total experience). Hands-on knowledge of SQL for data extraction and validation, BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik. Advanced Excel and presentation skills (PowerPoint). Hands-on exposure to / Knowledge about one of the cloud ecosystems Google / AWS/ Azure
- The candidate should have domain knowledge across multiple industries such as FMCG/CPG, Retail, Financial Services, Manufacturing & Automotive, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Sustainability, Gen-AI, Utilities, Telecom, Media & Technology, and Public Sector. Ability to prepare functional analysis, user stories, and technical documentation (BRD, FSD, NFR).
- Strong understanding of Agile/SCRUM and SDLC methodologies. Experience with JIRA/Confluence and backlog management. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings. Consultants are expected to be flexible to the dynamically changing needs of the industry. Must have good exposure to Database management systems
