Job Description
Role: Performance Tester
Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad
Notice: Immediate 30 Days
Exp: 6 years to 10 Years
CTC: Max 20 LPA
Core Skills:
- Min of 6 to 10+ years experience with Performance Testing and tuning.
- Review functional design and non-functional requirements and provide recommendations
- Should understand the challenges and strategies to effectively implement performance testing in an agile or Continuous delivery environment.
- Familiar with real-time, user-facing testing methodologies and approaches.
- Familiar with batch or background testing methodologies and approaches.
- Strong experience in cloud apps performance testing
- Strong understanding of the monitoring solutions and KPIs used to determine availability and performance of the technology stacks of the following: (Web (Apache), Application (Weblogic or Websphere or Kafka or Solace), and Database (SQL or DB2 or Oracle and Mongo)).
- Strong Experience using diagnostic tools like New Relic, Dynatrace, HTTP Watch, Fiddler, IE and Chrome Developer Tools
- Expertise in Test Planning, Test Estimation, Test Strategy, Work Load Design, Test Cases Design, Test Environment Setup, Test Data Setup, Defect Management & Configuration Management.
- Must possess a strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture and technologies including web, web services,.net, Java, Apache, JBOSS and VMWare.
- In-depth knowledge and working experience with Performance Center, JMeter, and other latest Performance Engineer & Performance Testing Virtualisation tools and Open Source performance testing tools (Apache JMeter, WebLOAD etc)
- Must be familiar with load test scripts in the following protocols: Rest, IBM MQ/Solace/Kafka, HTTP, SOAP, AJAX Flex, ODBC, and Java RMI
- Ability to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment using and implementing best practice programs with respect to load generation, bottleneck analysis, usage of modeling tools and statistical analysis.
- Strong problem solving skills and very good time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good to Have:
- Experience with one or more coding language ( JAVA,Python or Ruby etc) with some Development background will be an advantage (Candidate will be preferred with this knowledge)
- Able to adopt to DevOps practises and experience in running P&V tests in a CI-CD pipeline is preferable.
- Well versed with Cloud technologies and virtualisation
- Tooling Certification much preferred
Accountability/ Responsibility:
- Perform in-depth analysis of load tests both in real-time test execution and in post-run review to determine test validity, triage root-cause of any failures, report on any performance issues or defects and identify and provide recommendations on next steps.
- Execute Benchmark, load, stress, volume, endurance and other non-functional tests.
- Monitor application logs to determine system behaviour. Address all technical issues; facilitate the resolution and necessary follow up with Development and other cross-functional departments.
- Analyze the CPU Utilization, Memory usage, Network usage, Garbage Collection and DB Parameters and DB Reports to verify the performance of the applications.
Identifying memory leakage, connection issues & Bottleneck problem in the application.
- Generate performance graphs, session reports and other related documentation required for validation and analysis.
- Publish results and receive appropriate signoff. Prepare detail status reports, and monitoring of all defects and issues.
