Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Oracle ATG Developer to join our e-commerce engineering team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of high-performance, large-scale web applications. The ideal candidate is a Java/J2EE expert who can navigate the complexities of the Oracle Commerce suite to deliver seamless shopping experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development: Design and implement scalable e-commerce features using Java, J2EE, and Oracle ATG Commerce.
Module Customization: Configure and customize out-of-the-box (OOTB) ATG components, including Droplets, Form Handlers, and Tools.
Business Tools Management: Manage content and commerce operations using ATG BCC (Business Control Center) and provide support via ATG CSC (Commerce Service Center).
Data & Integration: Work extensively with
ATG Repositories (SQL/LDAP) and manage data flows through the ATG Pipeline (Commerce pipelines).
Core Commerce Logic: Develop and optimize business logic for Basket/Cart, Checkout, Promotions, and Product Catalog management.
Maintenance: Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure platform stability through performance tuning.
Technical Qualifications
Frameworks: Proficient in Oracle ATG 11.x / 10.x, Nucleus, and Personalization (scenarios/targeters).
Languages: Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, JSP, and JSTL.
Database: Solid understanding of Oracle Database, SQL, and repository mapping.
Web Services: Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations.
Tools: Familiarity with Build tools (Maven/Ant), Version Control (Git), and App Servers (JBoss/WebLogic).
Preferred Experience
Experience with Multisite implementation within the ATG environment.
