Job Title: SAP Delivery Head
Location: Navi Mumbai (Immediate Joiners preferred)Experience
10-15+ years in SAP consulting; 5+ years in a senior delivery leadership role focusing on SAP B1.
Role Summary
The Head of SAP Business One Delivery is a strategic leadership position responsible for end-to-end delivery ownership, client satisfaction, and profitability of all SAP B1 project implementations, upgrades, and Managed Services (AMS). This role leads the B1 consulting team, ensuring high-quality, standardized, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to clients, facilitating digital transformation and maximizing the ROI of their SAP B1 investments.
Role & responsibilities
1. Strategic Delivery Management
- Provide senior oversight for a portfolio of SAP B1 implementation, roll-out, and support projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Define and establish SAP B1 delivery best practices, frameworks, and standardized project management methodologies (e.g., SAP Activate/Agile).
- Establish strong governance structures for customer projects, overseeing project managers to ensure quality and client satisfaction.
2. Financial & P&L Accountability
- Accountable for the P&L of the B1 delivery portfolio, managing project budgets, revenue forecasting, cost optimization, and margin enhancement.
- Responsible for ensuring projects meet defined budget and delivery KPIs.
- Partner with sales to shape new service opportunities, provide effort estimations, and lead solution presentations.
3. Client Relationship & Escalation Management
- Serve as the primary escalation point for clients, resolving complex delivery issues proactively to minimize customer impact.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, aligning SAP B1 solutions with business transformation objectives.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and monitor client satisfaction metrics.
4. Leadership & People Management
- Mentor and guide SAP B1 consultants (functional/technical), project managers, and support teams.
- Responsible for competency development, recruitment, and scaling the B1 team, ensuring the team possesses up-to-date skills in S/4HANA Cloud (if applicable) and B1 latest versions.
5. Operational Excellence
- Oversee AMS (Application Managed Services) and BAU (Business-as-Usual) support, ensuring adherence to SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
- Identify opportunities for automation (e.g., RPA) and service improvements within the support model.
Preferred candidate profile
- Education: Bachelors or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Business Administration.
- SAP B1 Expertise: 10+ years of comprehensive experience in SAP B1 implementation and support, including deep knowledge of finance, supply chain, and manufacturing modules.
- Leadership: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role (Practice Head/Delivery Manager) managing SAP practices.
- Project Methodologies: Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and SAP Activate methodologies.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and C-level clients.
