Senior Software Engineer Java & Liferay @ Cognizant

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Java & Liferay professional with 9+ years of strong hands-on development experience to join our technology team.

The ideal candidate must be proficient in core Java, Spring ecosystem, Microservices architecture, and Liferay portal development. This is a technical, coding-intensive role, and both Java and Liferay skills are mandatory.

The role is PAN India with a Hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Liferay
• Design and build RESTful APIs and scalable systems
• Work on monolithic to microservices migration
• Apply design patterns and object-oriented principles
• Handle multithreading, exception handling, and performance tuning
• Integrate backend Java services with Liferay Portal
• Contribute to project delivery, code reviews, and technical discussions
