Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Core Networking
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise routing and switching technologies (Cisco IOS, NX-OS).
- Implement and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols (VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
- Perform network performance monitoring, optimization, and fault resolution.
- Manage IP addressing, subnetting, and network segmentation.
SD-WAN
- Deploy, configure, and support SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela, Meraki, or equivalent).
- Optimize WAN connectivity for branch offices and remote sites.
- Implement policies for traffic steering, QoS, and application-aware routing.
- Monitor SD-WAN performance and ensure high availability.
Security & Compliance
- Apply network security best practices including ACLs, firewalls, VPNs, and secure routing.
- Integrate networking solutions with MFA and cybersecurity policies.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and audit requirements.
Operations & Support
- Provide L2/L3 support for network incidents and service requests.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and configuration backups.
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, storage, applications) for integrated solutions.
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend improvements in network design, performance, and automation.
- Stay current with emerging networking technologies and industry trends.
- Participate in capacity planning and scalability initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3-8 Years of Experience
- Certifications: CCNA (mandatory), CCNP (preferred), SD-WAN specialization.
- Strong knowledge of routing & switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking devices and SD-WAN solutions.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, NetFlow).
- Experience with VPNs, firewalls, and network security practices.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex network issues.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
