Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer or Lead Engineer with 7 years of total and 2+ years of hands-on experience in building and deploying Generative AI systems. This role involves technical contributions as well as leading and mentoring a team of interns. You will collaborate closely with the team to design scalable AI solutions using large language models (LLMs), AI workflows, and automation tools that have real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Design, build, and deploy Generative AI solutions utilizing LLMs, LLM frameworks, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI workflow automation tools.
- AI Coding: Develop predictably reproducible code using AI Coding tools (e.g., WindSurf, Cursor, Antigravity, KiloCode) and review AI-generated code.
- Process & Agile: Work in an extremely fast-paced AI SDLC environment, following best practices in managing project requirements, planning, estimating, documenting, and executing.
- Communication: Clearly communicate project and work status and set expectations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentoring: Mentor junior developers on AI coding practices, ensure their adherence to the SDLC process, and track performance and provide feedback.
Education
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in developing software using traditional SDLC.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience developing Generative AI systems using LLMs, AI-driven automation, and agent-based architectures.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in at least one coding language. Python experience with FastAPI is a plus.
- Experience developing full stack applications with node.
- Experience with AI tools such as Dify.ai, Windsurf, Cursor, and various LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Mistral, Claude).
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Strong command of version control using Git.
- Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
Soft Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams.
Preferred / Bonus Skills
- Deep understanding of RAG using any vector database and integration with LLM.
- Good experience in developing complex orchestration using any orchestration tool like n8n, Diffy or IBM Orchestrate etc.
- Knowledge of Prompt tuning and tools.
