Skill: MS SQL DBA with on prem (AWS or Azure is additional Advantage)

Location: Bangalore, Coimbatore, Hyderabad

Experience: 3 to 4.8 years L2 Support

Shift: 24/7 Rotational shift

Role & responsibilities

SQL Server OnPrem Support JD (L2)

Role Overview

Responsible for supporting and administering Microsoft SQL Server databases hosted in onpremise data centres, ensuring availability, performance, security, and compliance in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for SQL Server (OnPrem)
• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch SQL Server (2016 / 2019 / 2022)
• Manage HA/DR solutions Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping
• Perform backup, restore, and DR readiness activities
• Monitor database health, performance, and capacity
• Execute performance tuning (query optimization, indexing, execution plans)
• Troubleshoot issues related to OS, storage, memory, CPU, and connectivity
• Ensure database security (roles, permissions, encryption, compliance)
• Support incident, problem, and change management
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation

Mandatory Skills

• Strong handson experience with SQL Server OnPrem
• HA/DR architectures (Always On, Clustering)
• Backup & recovery strategies
• TSQL and performance tuning
• Windows/Linux OS basics
• Monitoring & alerting tools
