Test Engineer @ CGI

Job Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Cypress.
• Implement Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber for automated test scenarios.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Develop automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing.
• Identify, track, and report defects and quality issues effectively.
• Leverage AI-powered QA tools for activities such as test generation, defect prediction, test optimization, and productivity improvements.
  Continuously improve test coverage, test data management, and automation efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.

Must-Have Skills:

• 5-7 years of experience in Software Testing with strong QA fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress automation frameworks.
• Experience implementing BDD using Cucumber / Gherkin.
• Strong programming knowledge in Python / Java / JavaScript (depending on framework).
• Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to AI-enabled QA tools (e.g., test generation, code assistants, intelligent test maintenance).
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools or security testing basics.
• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms or containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
