System Software Test Specialist @ IBM

 5 years of experience in Operating System Test  with AIX/Linux (any OS flavor) Kernel concepts and OS Internals (Process Management, Memory Management, Virtualization, Scheduling, Networking, Security etc.)

 Write and execute test plans with the ability to ensure proper coverage based on customer requirements and workloads, and perform regression testing (Experience in Rational Quality Mgr is a plus)

 Proficient in Python, Shell scripting, Perl (Experience in Django, Pytest, and Robot Test Framework)

 Knowledge of end-to-end Jenkins jobs and management

 Automation using Python. Having exposure to Perl, Expect is good to have 

 Strong UNIX Administration skills (Install/Manage OS, Filesystems/LVM, AIX/Linux Commands, IO, PowerVM functionalities). IBM Power Systems exposure preferred

 Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices and methodologies including Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Deployment (CD)/Continuous Testing (CT)

 Working experience with  Cloud Technologies ( front end and back end), with Docker, Kubernetes exposure preferred

 Ability to handle testing and debugging tasks independently

 Strong team player with good communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills

Advanced Programming Skills: Experience working with multiple programming languages to create complex test scripts for automating product testing. Knowledge of various programming paradigms and their application in test automation. Ability to optimize test scripts for performance and reliability.
Test Automation Frameworks: Exposure to popular test automation frameworks, including their architecture and implementation. Understanding of how to integrate these frameworks into existing testing processes.
Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile development methodologies, including iterative testing and continuous integration. Ability to adapt test automation strategies to fit agile development cycles.
