Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin
- Build responsive and reusable UI using XML layouts and modern UI principles
- Work with Android Jetpack components (ViewModel, LiveData/Flow, Navigation, Room)
- Integrate REST APIs and handle networking using libraries like Retrofit/OkHttp
- Implement clean and scalable architecture patterns (MVVM / Clean Architecture)
- Optimize app performance, memory usage, and responsiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Backend, QA, Product)
- Debug and fix bugs, improve app stability
- Write unit and UI test cases
- Ensure best practices in code quality, security, and maintainability
Preferred candidate profile
Java/Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio IDE
- Experience building UI using Jetpack Component with Material design and working knowledge of MVP/MVVM or Clean Architecture.
- Good experience with XML UI development
- Experience in unit testing using Junit, Mockito or any other framework.
- Working knowledge of web services: REST/SOAP and XML/JSON.
- Working knowledge of Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Working knowledge of Room persistence library and SQLite and Knowledge of secure storage(Key Store & Encrypted Shared Preference).
- Experience in multithreading, background scheduling and memory management.
- Experience in open source libraries (Retrofit, Glide/Picasso and Dagger/Hilt).
- Strong understanding of Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, and structured concurrency.
Software Development Lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
