Cognitive Clinical Management

1. To inform the concerned consultant as soon as the patient is admitted, or assessed in the Emergency
2. Perform and document history physical examination
3. Formulate differential diagnosis
4. Develop and documents initial plan of care
5. Basic plan of care and check list as per labor room protocols
6. Modifies daily plan of care*
7. Writes daily progress notes
8. Obtain and document informed consent
9. Perform preoperative work up
10. Order appropriate referrals*
11. Order appropriate investigations*
12. Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill patients*
13. Interpret laboratory radiology results
14. Orders transfusions of blood and blood products*
15. Order appropriate medication and other orders*
16. Regularly visit the admitted patients in person and monitor the progress of labour or any other such clinical signs and symptoms and update the consultant on timely basis
17. Assist the consultant during surgery and normal delivery or any other procedures
18. Prepare an appropriate discharge summary and explain the orders on discharge to the patient.
19. To write the duty report in duty register and take written handover and takeover. (to be checked daily by the in-house consultants)
20. To fill the insurance form to be signed by the concerned consultant.
21. Ensure proper clinical documentation as per the case.
22. Participate in the hospital marketing activities by giving health talks, in camps , corporate offices, events etc. educating the antenatal mothers and women
23. Any other responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager.

Clinical Non-invasive Management

1. Perform pelvic examination and Pap smear
2. Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation if necessary

Clinical Invasive Management

2. Performs nasogastric intubation
3. Inserts urethral catheter
4. Assist in surgical procedures*
5. Perform DC, MTP under the guidance of consultants
6. Conduct vaginal deliveries under the guidance of consultants
