Data Engineer @ Capgemini

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled DBT Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable data models using DBT. The role focuses on transforming raw data into trusted, analytics-ready datasets that support business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain DBT models for transforming data in the warehouse
• Implement data transformations, tests, documentation, and version control using DBT best practices
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Optimize SQL queries and DBT models for performance and scalability
• Build and maintain data marts, fact tables, and dimension tables
• Implement data quality checks, tests, and monitoring
• Manage DBT deployments using CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain clear documentation using DBT docs
• Support BI tools and downstream analytics use cases

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with DBT (Core or Cloud)
• Proficient in SQL (advanced level)
• Hands-on experience with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift, or Databricks
• Understanding of data modelling concepts (star schema, dimensional modelling)
• Experience with Git / version control
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines
• Knowledge of data quality, testing, and validation techniques
