About the Role
The Software Engineer will be part of the AML Compliance Technology team, supporting multiple business lines by designing, developing, and enhancing AML Compliance Systems, including KYC platforms.
The role demands a hands-on Java Full Stack Developer who collaborates closely with business stakeholders and technology teams while contributing across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in a fast paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Software Engineer will be part of the AML Compliance Technology team, supporting multiple business lines by designing, developing, and enhancing AML Compliance Systems, including KYC platforms.
The role demands a hands-on Java Full Stack Developer who collaborates closely with business stakeholders and technology teams while contributing across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in a fast paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications and system-to-system interfaces
- Build and enhance backend services using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices, with a strong emphasis on RESTful APIs
- Develop and maintain UI components using Angular and modern web technologies
- Ensure high availability, stability, and performance of applications in production environments
- Perform code reviews, write high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code
- Create and maintain technical documentation such as user guides and development guides
- Deploy application components on Apache Tomcat and OpenShift platforms
- Address EOL items, audit observations, enhancements, and defect fixes
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile delivery model
Required Technical Skills:
Backend & Core Java
- 8-10years of overall software development experience
- 3+ years of strong backend development experience using: o Java EE / Java 8 / Java 11 o Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices o RESTful web services
- Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills
- Solid understanding of Java design patterns and best practices
- Frontend / Full Stack
- 1+ year experience with Web UI frameworks, including: o Angular (preferred) o JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, XML, JSON o TypeScript, Bootstrap o Node.js (basic exposure preferred)
- Database & Persistence
- 3+ years of experience with relational databases
- Hands-on with: o DB2, Oracle, SQL Server o SQL queries, joins, and performance tuning
- Experience using Hibernate/JPA
- DevOps, Tools & Platforms Experience with: o Git / Bitbucket for source code management o Maven for build automation o Jenkins / Tekton for CI/CD pipelines Experience in deploying applications on: o Apache Tomcat o OpenShift platform
- Comfortable working across UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments
- Familiarity with IDEs: o Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio Code
- Methodologies & Development Practices
- Hands-on experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment
- Strong understanding of: o SDLC processes o Code quality, version control, and release management
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in production

Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field OR
- An equivalent combination of formal education and relevant professional experience
Good to Have
- Experience working in Banking / Financial Services / AML or KYC platforms
- Exposure to compliance, regulatory, or audit-driven systems
- Prior experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications
