Job Summary:
We are seeking a Delivery Manager - VCF Program to lead end-to-end governance, planning, and delivery oversight for the VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) program. This role will ensure successful execution of VCF platform build, migration, and adoption initiatives across private cloud environments--while maintaining strict control over scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk.
Required Qualification:
Certifications preferred: PMP / PRINCE2, ITIL v4
Roles & Responsibilities:
- VCF Program Governance & Delivery Oversight: Govern end-to-end delivery of the VMware Cloud Foundation program, including VCF platform design and build, SDDC components, tenant onboarding, and workload migration.
- Delivery Cadence & Reporting: Establish and manage program governance frameworks, delivery cadence, and reporting structures; ensure adherence to VCF reference architectures, standards, and best practices.
- Milestones, Dependencies & Critical Paths: Own and manage program milestones, dependencies, and critical paths to ensure delivery commitments are met without compromising platform stability and quality.
- Planning, Execution & Control: Develop and maintain integrated program plans, delivery roadmaps, and migration waves; track and manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and issues across all VCF workstreams.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, infrastructure and cloud engineering teams, application owners, security and compliance teams, and VMware/system integration partners.
- SLAs & Commercial Obligations: Manage vendor deliverables, SLAs, and commercial obligations; facilitate executive steering committees and governance forums.
- Risk, Issue & Dependency Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate delivery, technical, and operational risks; manage cross-team dependencies across compute, network, storage, security, and applications; escalate issues proactively with clear mitigation and recovery plans.
- Migration & Adoption Governance: Govern workload migration waves into the VCF private cloud; ensure readiness of platform, operations, and support teams before migrations; validate migration entry/exit criteria, acceptance criteria, and success metrics; oversee operational handover, service readiness, and stabilization phases.
- Operational Readiness & Transition (Day-2): Ensure Day-2 operations readiness including monitoring, backup, DR, and patching processes, support models and runbooks, and knowledge transfer to operations teams; support transition from program delivery to steady-state operations.
- Executive Communication: Provide clear, accurate, and timely reporting on program status, risks and issues, financials, and delivery metrics/KPIs; prepare executive-level dashboards and presentations; drive transparent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of 8 to 10 members, ensuring effective delivery execution and governance across workstreams.
