Job Description
Role Summary
We are seeking a Medical / Scientific Content Writer (Contractor/Consultant) to support the International Communications and Content team. This role focuses on developing, reviewing, and repurposing highquality medical and scientific content in close collaboration with crossfunctional medical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and edit scientific and medical content across formats and channels, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with internal standards.
- Conduct targeted literature searches and synthesize clinical and scientific data into clear, audienceappropriate content.
- Proofread, reference, and perform plagiarism checks to maintain high medical writing quality.
- Support content planning and delivery for priority therapy areas and launchfocused activities.
- Ensure timely delivery of assignments, flagging risks, information gaps, or quality issues proactively.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, project teams, and vendors to ensure consistency and quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of content processes, templates, and workflows.
Qualifications & Skills
- Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
- Prior experience (2-4 years) in medical or scientific writing (agency, pharma, or consulting preferred).
- Strong scientific understanding, with the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly.
- Excellent written English and strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of literature databases (e.g., PubMed, Medline, Embase).
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables independently and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidance (e.g., ICH, FDA, EMA) and digital content concepts is a plus.
