Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Collect and prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests as per established protocols.
- Ensure accuracy and precision in test results through quality control measures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the laboratory.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss test results and implications.
- Document and manage laboratory data in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in training and continuing education to stay updated on laboratory practices. Skills and Tools Required:
- Strong understanding of laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Proficiency in the use of laboratory equipment and technology, including centrifuges, spectrophotometers, and microscopes.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and standards in a laboratory setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with medical staff and patients.
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is a plus.
