Job Description
Position: - Senior Test Lead SDET
Role & responsibilities
- Lead and manage API and webservices testing projects from initiation to completion, maintaining alignment with organizational objectives and client expectations.
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive testing strategies, plans, and procedures for API and web application testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding developers, business analysts, and project managersto define testing requirements and swiftly resolve technical challenges.
- Execute automated testing using Selenium for web applications, ensuring coverage and efficiency.
- Conduct API testing, leveraging industry-standard tools and methodologies to validate integrations and functionality.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes, and recommend actionable improvements to enhance product quality.
- Mentor and guide team members, instilling best practices in test automation, coding standards, and quality assurance.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in API/webservices testing, actively contributing to process innovation.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and technical aspects of testing.
Skill Required: -
- Proven experience in API and webservices testing, with a strong track record of leading successful test automation projects.
- Expertise in test automation tools, particularly Selenium (with Java), and familiarity with Playwright (with Python) is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of SDET methodologies and automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
- Solid programming skills in Java (required), Python (plus), or Ruby.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer Certification is preferred.
