Job Description
Key Deliverables:
- Lead detailed design for plumbing, chilled water distribution, firefighting systems, water treatment, stormwater drainage, and environmental systems.
- Prepare calculations, layouts, hydraulic simulations, and energy efficiency assessments aligned with AI DC cooling loads and redundancy requirements.
- Ensure PHE systems integrate with HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems for high-density AI racks, fail-safe operations, and redundancy (N+1/2N).
- Evaluate sustainable water solutions and adopt innovative technologies to optimize WUE.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, ELV, and project management teams for integrated design execution.
- Review consultant designs, OEM submissions, and BOQs to ensure compliance with design intent.
- Engage with customers, consultants, and vendors to capture design requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Support vendor evaluation, technical clarifications, and design approval process.
- Support commissioning and validation of PHE systems; review FAT/SAT and ensure systems meet performance and redundancy criteria.
- Maintain engineering documentation, as-builts, and commissioning reports.
- Ensure adherence to NFPA, IS/IEC, BIS, ASHRAE, and TIA-942 standards.
- Implement best practices for sustainable water use and fire safety.
Key Competencies:
- Strong expertise in plumbing, chilled water, fire suppression, water treatment, drainage, and environmental systems for Data Centers.
- Ability to design and integrate systems for high-density, high-load AI DC environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, hydraulic simulation tools, and performance modeling.
- Strong coordination, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Civil / PHE / Environmental Engineering.
- 1015 years of experience in PHE system design for Data Centers, Critical Infrastructure, or Industrial projects.
- Experience in Tier III/IV DCs, redundancy planning, and sustainable water management.
- Preferred: PMP, NFPA, or CDCP certifications.
