About Team:

MCSE (Multi Channel Sourcing Engine aka Walmart Fulfilment Engine) is a group of applications to balance customer experience with fulfilment costs. It is the order sourcing platform that promises the best delivery dates to our customers while balancing our supply chain network, reducing costs, and providing self-service automated tools to our partners. Walmart Fulfillment Engine (WFE) team own the stack of services which calculates item eligibility , availability, delivery dates and Shipping charge . Our services are built to scale millions of hits per minutes. We run geo based optimization algorithms to give best date and shipping charge to our customers.

What you will do:

As a Software Engineer III, for Walmart Labs, you ll have the opportunity to

• Plugin Development: Design, develop, and maintain plugins that seamlessly integrate with enterprise systems and third-party tools.
• Node.js Development: Build and optimize backend services, APIs, and server-side logic using Node.js.
• React Development: Create dynamic and intuitive front-end components and applications using React.
• Authentication Flows: Implement secure login systems (e.g., Pingfed login), manage cookies, and utilize local storage for session management.
• TypeScript/Javascript Coding: Write clean, efficient, type-safe code in TypeScript, along with JavaScript when appropriate.
• Data Persistence cookies: Work with local storage mechanisms to save and retrieve application data securely.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Troubleshooting Debugging: Identify performance bottlenecks, resolve bugs, and optimize software.
• Triaging and Troubleshooting including regression testing, root cause analysis (RCA), root cause corrective action (RCCA) To guide team members in RCA and RCCA to identify the origins of and prevent defects/performance gaps.
• Good active listener, being able to hear and include propositions from other engineers in the final solution.
• Write Unit and regression tests
• Partner with your senior and junior teammates throughout the software development lifecycle to cultivate a reciprocal learning environment from development to debugging and operational excellence.
• Be an agile practitioner.

What you will bring:

• B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science or relevant discipline
• 3+ years of experience in design and development of highly-scalable distributed applications and platforms.
• Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
• Knowledge of IFrame, Cookie, Storage management, Typescript, css, javascript, micro frontend
• React development experience with Node js
• Knowledge of Kubernetes
• Self-Starter with the ability to learn new technology quickly.
• Strong ability to adapt to change quickly. Proficient in new and emerging technologies.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology.
