Job Description

Job Summary

The PPC Engineer/Senior PPC Engineer will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling production processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, optimizing resources, and maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Production Planning:
    • Develop and implement production schedules based on customer orders, material availability, and capacity planning.
    • Ensure alignment with production targets, deadlines, and quality standards.
  2. Resource Management:
    • Optimize manpower, machinery, and material utilization to achieve production goals.
    • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for timely material availability.
  3. Process Coordination:
    • Liaise with engineering, quality, procurement, and shop floor teams to ensure smooth production flow.
    • Address bottlenecks and resolve production-related issues proactively.
  4. Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Track production performance metrics (e.g., OEE, cycle time, downtime).
    • Prepare daily/weekly production reports and present insights to management.
  5. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement.
    • Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
  6. Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., AS9100, IATF 16949) and company policies.
    • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
  • 35 years of experience in production planning and control within the aerospace, automobile, or precision engineering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as AS9100, IATF 16949, or ISO 9001.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
