Summary

Senior individual contributor responsible for building and operating automation that reduces manual effort in application support. Focuses on ticket triage enrichment, monitoring enhancements, scripted remediation, and self-service workflows across business application portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Build automation to reduce incident volume and improve MTTR across applications
• Develop scripts and runbooks for auto-triage, auto-remediation, and guided recovery
• Integrate automation with ServiceNow workflows (routing, enrichment, approvals, notifications)
• Enhance monitoring and alerting (signal quality, deduplication, actionable alerts)
• Create reusable tooling for log collection, health checks, and environment validation
• Partner with App Support/System Engineers to convert repeat issues into automations
• Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and automation KPIs
• Participate in shift/on-call support for automation failures and critical incidents

Skills

• Strong scripting: Python and/or PowerShell (production use)
• Practical knowledge of IT operations + application support
• Experience integrating with ServiceNow (APIs, workflows, or automation patterns)
• Monitoring/observability fundamentals (alerts, logs, dashboards)
• API usage (REST), JSON, authentication basics
• Troubleshooting mindset: logs, root cause patterns, safe rollback/remediation

Nice to Have

• Experience with Splunk / Dynatrace / New Relic (or equivalent)
• RPA or workflow automation tooling exposure
• CI/CD basics (Git, pipelines, release validation scripts)
