Network Engineer L2 @ DMart

Job Description.

Network Monitoring:
Proactively monitor network performance, health, and traffic using NMS tool and identify bottlenecks or failures.
ensure to escalate the issue to respective stakeholders according to the SOP.

Incident Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for service desk tickets, logging, categorizing, prioritizing, and resolving basic connectivity issues.

Basic Troubleshooting:

Perform initial troubleshooting for LAN/WAN, switching, Wireless and VPN issues. 

Maintenance Support:

Assist with routine maintenance, including firmware upgrades, configuration changes, and hardware replacement under supervision.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate documentation, including network diagrams, inventory logs, and incident reports.

Escalation:

Escalate unresolved incidents to L2/L3 engineering teams, providing detailed notes and initial findings

Qualification / Certification :
Technical Knowledge    : Basic knowledge of Networking and Network Devices and their administration.
Familiarity: Networking : concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs) and protocols.
Preferred qualification   : BCA , B.Tech, B.E / B.Sc. Computer / IT / E.C. 
Certification / Training   : CCNA / Fortinet / Network-Security / any IT Networks related training.

Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills for stakeholder management, analytical troubleshooting abilities, ability to work in high-pressure environment

Working Hours
Shifts : Morning 7:00AM to 4:30PM,  Afternoon : 12:30PM To 10:00PM.
The Weekly Off will change based on the Shift rotation.
