Required Skills:

- Architect ELT pipelines using DBT across staging, intermediate, and mart layers with modular, reusable models and macros
- Write optimized complex SQL queries
- Use basic Python for ingestion automation, data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring scripts
- Lead design and development of enterprise-grade data platforms on Snowflake, including databases, schemas, warehouses, tables, views, and secure views
- Ensure analytics-ready dimensional models (Facts, Dimensions, SCD Type 1/2) aligned to business KPIs
- Drive query performance and cost optimization using Snowflake best practices (clustering, warehouse sizing, pruningData Engineering & Automation
- Oversee data ingestion from cloud storage (AWS S3 / Azure Blob) using Snowflake COPY, Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks
- Implement data quality checks and dbt tests (schema, uniqueness, freshness) to ensure production reliability
- Support CI/CD pipelines for dbt and Snowflake deployments using Git-based workflows Team & Delivery Management
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers / analytics engineers
- Plan sprint deliverables, conduct technical reviews, and ensure adherence to coding and modeling standards
- Act as the single point of accountability for data platform delivery, stability, and support
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and BI teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions
Required Skills
Core (Must-Have)
- DBT Models, Macros, Materializations, Tests, Documentation
- Advanced SQL Complex joins, window functions, aggregations, optimizations
- Python (Basic to Intermediate) Data processing, validation, automation scripts
- Snowflake Architecture, performance tuning, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Cloning
- Data Warehousing concepts Star/Snowflake schemas, SCD, ELT patterns
Good to Have
- Airflow / Dagster orchestration exposure
- CI/CD for data platforms
- BFSI domain experience (risk, finance, regulatory, analytics)
- Experience with semi-structured data (JSON/VARIANT)
Leadership & Behavioral Skills
- Strong stakeholder communication and requirement-translation skills
- Ability to coach and upskill junior engineers
- Ownership mindset with focus on quality, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Experience working in agile delivery models
