Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic Techno-Functional Analyst with a strong foundation in DRG coding and a passion for data analytics. This role is ideal for professionals who can bridge the gap between clinical operations and technical analytics, leveraging coding expertise to drive data-driven insights and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and validate DRG coding for inpatient claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Translate business and clinical requirements into analytical solutions using tools like SQL, Python, or Tableau.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze provider spend, contract-level performance, and reimbursement trends.
- Support automation and optimization of coding workflows using technology.
- Document functional requirements and contribute to system enhancements or transformation projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 23 years of experience in DRG coding (ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRG/APR-DRG).
- Strong interest and foundational skills in data analytics and healthcare data.
- Ability to interpret and work with large datasets, including identifying patterns and anomalies.
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge (SQL, Python preferred).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a techno-functional role within healthcare or payer-provider environments.
- Understanding of healthcare reimbursement models and contract structures.
- Exposure to ETL processes, data warehousing, or healthcare data platforms.
- Strong communication skills to liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
