As a Tableau Data Engineer, you will work to create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. On a typical day,
you might
- Translate business needs to technical specifications.
- Design, build and deploy BI solutions with Tableau as the primary BI skill
- Leverage Tableau to maintain & support data analytics platforms.
- Involve yourself in unit testing and troubleshooting.
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
- Create visualizations and build reports that exceed the expectations of the clients.
- Work on enhancing the BI systems that exist.
- Develop or ensure that the tech documentation developed is updated.
- Understand any Bi-level SLAs and take care of BI performance tuning
EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS
What do we expect? Skills that wed love!
- 4-7 years of overall experience having atleast 2+ years of relevant experience in Tableau with a strong background in data
warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modeling) and data mining.
- In-depth understanding of database management systems and online analytical processing (OLAP) with strong exposure to ETL
(Extract, transform, load) framework and any ETL tool would be an added advantage
- Should have strong experience working in Tableau
- Model creation
- Creating Measures
- RLS Implementation
- Performance Tuning
- Security
- Comprehensive knowledge of SQL.
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be an innovative analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
- Adept understanding of any of the cloud services is preferred (Azure).
