Job Description
Role: Analyst, IT Finance
Duration: 6+months
Location: Remote
Work timing: UK or US Hours
Job Summary:
As an Analyst in IT Finance, your primary focus will be optimizing cloud costs and driving financial efficiency across our cloud footprint. You will be responsible for analyzing contract clauses and liabilities, monitoring and managing contract SLAs, and assessing the financial impact of IT projects and initiatives. You will perform cost-benefit analyses and ROI tracking to ensure the organization maximizes value from its cloud and IT investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Cost Optimization: Utilize extensive experience in cloud cost optimization to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in cloud infrastructure.
- Contract Analysis: Analyze contract clauses and liabilities to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Performance Analysis: Perform analysis against performance metrics to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of IT operations and initiatives.
- SLA Monitoring & Management: Monitor and manage service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure compliance with agreed-upon performance standards and contractual obligations.
- Financial Impact Assessment: Evaluate the financial impact of IT projects and initiatives to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
- Cost-Benefit Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analysis to assess the value and feasibility of IT projects and initiatives.
- ROI Tracking: Track the return on investment (ROI) of IT projects and initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with senior leadership, IT teams, and other key stakeholders to provide financial insights and support for IT decision-making.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to provide comprehensive visibility into IT financial performance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT finance, with a focus on contract analysis, cloud cost optimization, and financial analysis.
- Skills:
- Extensive experience with Oracle Cloud (OCI) and proven ability to optimize costs, forecast spending, and implement cost-control mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with other major cloud platforms/hyperscalers, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure.
- Ability to compare and contrast pricing models, negotiate terms related to cloud contracts, and align cloud spend with business priorities.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, contract analysis, and cloud cost optimization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
