Role: Cloud Infrastructure Security Engineer (L2)
Experience: 4+ Years
Location: Bangalore
Working Days: 5 Days
Employment Type: Permanent
Notice Period: Immediate to 15 Days Preferred
Role Overview
We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Security Engineer (L2) with strong Linux and cybersecurity fundamentals to support and secure cloud-based infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in vulnerability assessment, OS hardening, and foundational cloud security practices, along with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and secure Linux-based systems across cloud environments.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and implement remediation actions.
- Apply OS hardening practices to enhance system security.
- Support cloud infrastructure security activities, including monitoring and incident response.
- Assist in configuring and managing cloud security controls, including IAM roles, security groups, and network ACLs.
- Support implementation of encryption and key management mechanisms.
- Work with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanners.
- Monitor system logs and security alerts to identify suspicious activities.
- Assist with container and Kubernetes security best practices where applicable.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain secure and compliant infrastructure.
- Participate in ongoing security improvement initiatives and automation activities.
- Document processes, security configurations, and remediation steps.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration and security.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Experience in vulnerability assessment and OS hardening.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of cloud security concepts, including:
- IAM (Identity and Access Management)
- Security Groups
- Network ACLs
- Encryption and Key Management
- Monitoring and Logging
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes, including:
- Pods
- Deployments
- Namespaces
- Network Policies
- Secrets
- Familiarity with container security and cluster hardening.
- Exposure to security tools such as:
- SIEM
- EDR
- Vulnerability Scanners
- Cloud Security Monitoring Tools
