Job Description
Role Overview
The Data & Analytics CoE Architect & Senior Manager is responsible for architecting, scaling, and governing the enterprise Data & Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE). This role combines hands-on architecture leadership, people management, and P&L ownership, ensuring delivery excellence, commercial success, and measurable business impact.
The role partners closely with Sales, PreSales, Delivery, and Customer Leadership to drive solution strategy, pipeline growth, execution quality, and value realization across data engineering, BI, advanced analytics, and AI/ML programs. This position reports to senior leadership and serves as a design authority and thought leader for data platforms and analytics solutions. [
CoE Scope & Technology Landscape
- Data Platforms: Azure (Synapse / Fabric), AWS (Redshift, Glue), GCP (BigQuery, Dataproc), Snowflake, Databricks
- Data Engineering: ETL/ELT, streaming (Kafka, Kinesis), orchestration (Airflow, Azure Data Factory), Lakehouse architectures
- Governance & Security: Data catalog, lineage, stewardship, data quality, privacy and security controls (Purview, Collibra)
- BI & Analytics: Power BI, Tableau, Looker; semantic models, metrics layers, and selfservice enablement
- Advanced Analytics & AI/ML: Feature stores, MLOps, monitoring, NLP, forecasting, optimization
- FinOps: Cost modeling, workload optimization, and cloud spend governance for data platforms
Key Responsibilities
CoE Architecture, Strategy & Governance
- Define and evolve the CoE charter, operating model, and design authority, establishing enterprise standards and guardrails
- Publish reference architectures, data product blueprints, accelerators, and reusable frameworks
- Institutionalize governance practices covering data quality, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance (ISO, SOC, GDPR-aligned)
- Act as the final architectural authority for complex, largescale data and analytics solutions
Sales, PreSales & Growth Enablement
- Partner with Sales and PreSales to shape value propositions, GTM offerings, and solution roadmaps
- Lead architectural solutioning for RFPs/RFIs, client demonstrations, and strategic POCs
- Develop ROI/TCO models, pricing strategies, and business cases to support deal closures
- Build a portfolio of client case studies with quantified outcomes (cost optimization, adoption, performance improvement)
Customer Solutioning & Delivery Oversight
- Lead discovery engagements to translate business objectives into scalable, secure architectures
- Design endtoend solutions across ingestion, storage, transformation, BI, analytics, and ML
- Oversee delivery execution, enforcing DataOps/MLOps, CI/CD, quality gates, and reliability standards
- Drive continuous improvement across performance, cost efficiency, and platform adoption
Leadership, P&L & Stakeholder Management
- Build and lead highperforming multidisciplinary teams; mentor senior architects and managers
- Own CoE financials, including revenue, margin, utilization, investment planning, and cost control
- Track and report pipeline, bookings, revenue, delivery KPIs, and ROI to executive stakeholders
- Run governance forums with business leaders, managing risks, dependencies, and escalations
Required Experience & Qualifications
- ~15 years of experience in Data & Analytics, with 7+ years in leadership or architect roles building and running enterprise data platforms
- Strong handson expertise in data architecture, engineering, BI, and AI/ML solutioning
- Proven experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern DWH/Lakehouse technologies
- Demonstrated success in presales, large deal solutioning, estimations, and commercial modelling
- Experience owning or contributing to P&L, revenue growth, and margin management
- Strong executivelevel communication skills with the ability to translate technical outcomes into business value
