Job Description
Role & responsibilities:
- Managed the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, vendor evaluation, negotiation, purchasing, and delivery coordination for food category
- Developed and maintained strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring consistent performance, reliability, and service quality. .
- Collaborated closely with inventory and operations teams to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing risks of overstocking or stockouts.
- Monitored and tracked purchase orders, ensuring timely deliveries and proactively resolving issues related to delays, discrepancies, or damaged goods.
- Ensured all procured items adhered to defined quality standards and organizational specifications.
- Supported budget planning and cost control initiatives by working in alignment with finance teams on procurement budgets.
- Conducted market research and analysis to stay updated on pricing trends, supplier landscape, and new sourcing opportunities.
- Ensured compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and audit requirements across all procurement activities.
- Worked cross-functionally with finance, logistics, and operations teams to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 10 to 16 years of experience in procurement, preferably in F&B, hospitality, or institutional catering
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
- Strong expertise in negotiation and contract management, with a proven ability to optimize costs and drive value
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Proficiency in procurement tools/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and vendor relationship management skills
