 Associate Principal - System Management

Job Description

Role Summary Leads the design optimization and governance of enterprise backup infrastructure across hybrid environments. Drives automation, DR testing and service improvement initiatives for Commvault, Azure Backup and Veeam platforms.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement global backup and recovery strategies
  • Manage and optimize CommServe, Media Agents, Azure Vaults and Veeam repositories
  • Lead upgrades, capacity planning and DR exercises
  • Automate recurring tasks using PowerShell, Python or REST APIs
  • Perform RCA for major incidents and recommend preventive measures
  • Integrate onprem and cloud backup solutions (Azure Blob, AWS S3, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with security, retention and regulatory standards
  • Mentor and guide L1/L2 engineers and conduct KT sessions
Required Skills Experience 7 to 11 years of experience in enterprise backup infrastructure management. Expert knowledge of Commvault architecture, Azure Backup and Veeam Enterprise Plus, Cloud Connect. Strong understanding of storage virtualization and networking. Proven experience with multipetabyte crossregion environments. Scripting experience: PowerShell, Python, Bash for automation.

Strong leadership and mentoring abilities. Strategic thinking and problemsolving approach. Excellent client communication and governance reporting. Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently. Certifications Qualifications: Bachelors, Masters degree in Computer Science, IT or related field. Preferred: Commvault Professional Master Expert Certification, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Veeam Certified Architect (VMCA), ITIL v4 Foundation or higher.
