Lead Automation Engineer @ Alten

Job Description

Role: Automation Engineer

Required Skills & Qualifications:

•        Strong proficiency in Python programming
•        Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
•        Experience with automation frameworks and BDD tools
•        Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)
•        Experience in API testing (RESTful services, Postman, pytest, etc.)
•        Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust, Gatling)
•        Strong understanding of microservices architecture
•        Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
•        Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

•        Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Python and Selenium
•        Develop automated test scripts for web applications and microservices
•        Implement and maintain BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber/Behave)
•        Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines
•        Perform API automation testing for microservices-based architectures
•        Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system scalability and reliability
•        Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and QA teams to improve test coverage and product quality
•        Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with teams for resolution
•        Ensure best practices in test automation, coding standards, and documentation
