Job Title: AI Software Delivery Manager
Location: Bengaluru
Experience: 12+ years in software delivery, with at least 3-4 years managing AI/ML projects and teams
Team Size: 78 resources (developers, data engineers)
Role Overview
The AI Software Delivery Manager will be responsible for endtoend delivery of AIdriven products and platforms. This role combines strong technical leadership, agile project management, and stakeholder management to ensure AI solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business outcomes. The manager will lead a team of 78 engineers and collaborate closely with product, data, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a crossfunctional team of 78 AI and software engineers, including developers, data engineers, data scientists.
- Own the delivery lifecycle for AI products: from backlog refinement, to deployment, monitoring, and postrelease support.
- Define and drive agile and DevOps practices (Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD) to ensure a stable, scalable, and productionready AI platform.
- Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to integrate models, features, and pipelines into production systems.
- Monitor and report on project health, risks, dependencies, and KPIs, providing clear and timely updates to senior leadership.
- Ensure architectural integrity, test coverage, and observability for AIbased features
- Drive continuous improvement in team velocity, quality, and delivery
- Manage vendor or partner engagements related to AI platforms
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; a Masters degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering and project or program delivery, with at least 57 years in AI/ML, data science, or AIdriven product delivery.
- Proven experience managing a team of 78 engineers, including hiring, mentoring, performance management
- Deep experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, or similar), CI/CD tools, and modern DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to balance technical quality, business value, and delivery timelines.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience of working on large scale AI projects, industrial automation, defense, aerospace.
- Exposure to model monitoring, explainability, and governance frameworks for AI systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory, ethical, or security considerations for AI and data privacy.
Success Metrics
- Consistent delivery of AI features within agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Improved team velocity, deployment frequency, and reduction in production incidents.
- Clear linkage between AI initiatives and measurable business outcomes (for example, cost savings, efficiency gains, or revenue impact).
- High team engagement, low attrition, and strong feedback from stakeholders.
