Role & responsibilities:


  • Assist the HR-Ops lead in overseeing and managing the payroll process, including the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to payroll, taxes and deductions.
  • Managing in-house payroll and maintaining and updating payroll records, including employee information, timekeeping data, deductions, and taxes.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly and accurately, collaborating with HR, Finance, and other departments as necessary.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll data and processes to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to a team of payroll administrators, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training and development opportunities.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software, ensuring they are upto date and functioning properly.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance and process improvements.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports, summaries, and analyses for management and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data with other HR and financial systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors for application and renewal of licenses (Trade, FSSAI, Insecticides, Drug, Shops & Establishment, CLRA) for both new and existing stores, ensuring completion at least one

month before expiry.

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information and records.

Relevant Exp.: 8yr to 10yrs
