Job Description
Role Overview: We are looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about building innovative AI-powered products and has experience leveraging AI/ML/LLM technologies throughout the software development lifecycle. You will be a hands-on technical contributor working on consumer products that protect our customers.You will exhibit deep expertise in building products with AI, native cloud application development, and consumer-focused solutions. You will be expected to use AI extensively not just in the products you build, but throughout your daily development workflow including code generation, testing, documentation, and problem-solving.In a world where AI is transforming software development every day, we are offering you a rare opportunity to be at the forefront of this revolution, working on critical products in McAfees consumer business. You will work independently and collaboratively with architects, engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver world-class solutions.
This is a Hybrid position located at our Bangalore, India development center. You will be required to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to our Bangalore office and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
About the Role:
- AI-Native Development - Extensively use AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) throughout the development lifecycle and for code generation, debugging, testing, and architectural exploration.
- ML/LLM Integration - Build and integrate production ML/LLM models using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, and vector databases with customer-obsessed focus.
- Data Engineering - Develop scalable data pipelines using Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake, Workflows, Medallion Architecture) with automated quality validation.
- Metrics Dashboards - Design operational/business metrics and build near real-time dashboards for monitoring and business intelligence.
- AI Productivity Tools - Create AI-powered skills and agents to boost engineering productivity, integrated with Confluence, Jira and Databricks.
About You:
- We are looking for 4 to 5 years software development including 1+years in AI/ML experience.
- AI-Augmented Development - Daily hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) for productivity.
- Full-Stack Cloud Expertise - Strong full-stack development with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), REST services (Golang, Python), and containerization (Docker).
- Databricks Data Engineering - Hands-on experience with Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake, Workflows, Medallion Architecture) for scalable data pipelines.
- AI Agents Integration - Experience building/integrating AI agents, LLM-powered tools, dashboards, and developer ecosystem integrations (Confluence, Jira).
