Snowflake Architect
Bangalore or Chennai - Hybrid Mode
12 Months with Extension
Working Hours - India Day Shift
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Solution Architect to design, implement, and lead modern cloud-based data platform solutions leveraging Snowflake and dbt. This role requires strong expertise in enterprise data architecture, analytics engineering, and scalable cloud data solutions.
The ideal candidate will work closely with data engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, and ML teams to deliver secure, high-performing, and production-grade analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and architect end-to-end data platform solutions on Snowflake, including ELT pipelines, data models, security frameworks, and performance optimization strategies.
* Define and implement scalable data transformation frameworks, testing standards, and data quality processes using dbt.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable data solutions.
* Establish best practices for analytics engineering including CI/CD, testing, documentation, code reviews, and deployment processes.
* Optimize Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
* Lead architecture discussions and provide technical guidance on modern data platform design and cloud data engineering best practices.
* Partner with Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists to support the deployment and operationalization of ML workloads within Snowflake environments.
* Ensure strong governance, security, and compliance standards across enterprise data platforms.
* Drive adoption of modern data stack tools, reusable frameworks, and automation processes across the organization.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake including:
Data warehousing
Performance tuning
Security and access control
Cost optimization
Scalable cloud architecture
* Strong practical experience with dbt including:
Data models
Macros
Testing frameworks
Environment management
ELT workflow implementation
* Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale analytics and data platform solutions in cloud environments.
* Strong SQL expertise and deep understanding of data modeling and ELT best practices.
* Experience collaborating across technical and business teams in enterprise environments.
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.
Nice to Have:
* Experience with Data Vault 2.0 modeling methodologies.
* Experience supporting or deploying ML workloads within Snowflake using technologies such as Snowpark, Snowpark ML, or external functions.
* Familiarity with modern data stack tools and CI/CD practices including Git-based workflows, automated testing, and code review processes.
* Exposure to cloud-native analytics engineering and scalable data platform automation.
