Site Reliability Engineer - Azure Microservices & Banking Apps @ Tata Consultancy

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support and enhance the reliability, performance, and availability of Azure-based microservices and API-driven banking applications, with a strong focus on Payments and Wires platforms.

This role combines L2/L3 production support with SRE best practices, focusing on incident management, observability, and continuous improvement of system reliability in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for Azure-based microservices and APIs
• Own major incident management, including:
• Advanced triage
• Service restoration
• Root cause analysis (RCA)
• Post-incident reviews
• Monitor and maintain system reliability using:
• SLIs / SLOs / Error Budgets
• Implement and manage monitoring & observability using:
• Azure Monitor
• Application Insights
• Logs, metrics, alerts
• Support Payments & Wires operations, including:
• Transaction monitoring
• Reconciliation and exception handling
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during critical incidents and system outages
• Ensure high availability and performance of distributed systems and cloud applications

MustHave Skills

Azure & Monitoring

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Azure Monitor
• Application Insights
• Log analytics, alerting

Production Support / SRE

• Experience with:
• L2/L3 Production Support
• Incident Management & RCA
• High-availability systems

Application & System Support

• Experience supporting:
• Microservices architecture
• API-driven applications
• Distributed systems

Domain Experience

• Experience in:
• Banking / Financial Services
• Regulated environments
• Strong understanding of:
• Payments & Wires operations

GoodtoHave Skills

• Knowledge of:
• DevOps practices
