Job Description
Job role - CAD Engineer.
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design and CAD modeling
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in the Medical Devices domain or a relevant industry (preferred)
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) with strong academic performance
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components with a focus on plastic molded parts
- Perform mold flow analysis and ensure manufacturability of designs
- Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles in product development
- Create detailed CAD models, assemblies, and drawings
- Conduct tolerance analysis and GD&T implementation, including tolerance stack-up studies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and product engineering
- Maintain proper documentation and design records using PLM/PDM systems
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis
- Good understanding of engineering fundamentals and design calculations
- Exposure to plastic component design and manufacturing processes
- Experience with PLM & PDM software systems
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and product lifecycleRole & responsibilities
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in team environments
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving mindset
Tools & Software:
- CAD Tools: SolidWorks (preferred), or equivalent
- PLM/PDM Systems
- MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
