Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer @ Taal Tech India

Job Description

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: MINIMUM 5 YEARS

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION -(DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE)

Experience in Electrical & Instrumentation engineering design for industrial plants and facilities
Strong exposure to heavy industry sectors such as minerals processing, oil & gas, chemicals, or power

Ability to prepare engineering designs, layouts, and calculations as per project specifications and standards

Experience in design coordination with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, piping, civil, process, etc.)

Exposure to project lifecycle phases including concept, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning support

Knowledge of engineering workflows, change management processes, and quality systems

Experience in vendor coordination, technical bid evaluations, and equipment selection

Ability to support estimating, budgeting, and manhour planning during various project stages

Familiarity with client interactions, technical discussions, and project reporting

Understanding of codes, standards, and industry best practices applicable to E&I engineering

SKILL / TOOLS KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Proficiency in electrical system design and analysis tools such as ETAP, PowerFactory, PTW, CDEGS (or similar)

Working knowledge of electrical design calculations (load flow, short circuit, cable sizing, earthing, etc.)

Exposure to instrumentation design tools and systems

Familiarity with AutoCAD and 3D coordination tools (Navisworks)

Knowledge of document management systems and engineering workflows

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)

Understanding of engineering documentation, specifications, and drawing standards

MUST REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong experience in Electrical & Instrumentation engineering design
• Hands-on exposure to engineering calculations and system studies
• Experience in EPC / consultancy environment
• Ability to independently handle design deliverables and coordinate with teams
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes
• Experience in vendor coordination and technical evaluation
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
